Filing preferences
Default Drafting Method:
When creating UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) filings in Falcon, there are two drafting methods available:
- Wizard-Prompt Flow
- Answer guided questions and Falcon will automatically complete the UCC forms for you
- In-Form Drafting
- Manually fill out the UCC forms yourself
New Filing Defaults
When you create a new UCC filing in Falcon, the system applies the following settings to streamline the process, if you choose these settings as defaults:
- eFile Where Possible
If the filing jurisdiction supports electronic filing, Falcon will choose to file electronically - Expedited Service
Filings will be submitted with expedited processing when available - Search to Reflect
This is an optional service offered by Platinum Filings. It involves performing a UCC search after the filing is complete, to ensure the newly filed UCC record appears correctly in the public record - Use Client Reference
The Client reference value will be copied into the Optional filer reference data field on the UCC form
The next step is to choose your communications preferences
Communications
There are three types of Communications:
- Confirmations – confirms success of your action
- Notifications – informs of actions taken by others; no action is required on your part
- Alerts – action is required by you
Confirmations
| By Default, Confirmation popups are enabled, and Confirmation emails are disabled |
Confirmation popups serve as real-time verification that your action was successful (e.g. “Filing successfully submitted”)
| If Confirmation emails are enabled, they can be received in real time (immediately after the action is taken) or accumulated into an email digest |
If the emails are to be accumulated into a digest, set the frequency of the digest to Daily or Weekly
For daily, choose the time of day

Notifications
By default, Notification emails are enabled
Notification emails can be received in real time (immediately after the action is taken) or accumulated into a digest

Alerts
By default, Alert emails are enabled
Alert emails can be received in real time (immediately after the triggering action is taken), or accumulated into a digest

Miscellaneous Preferences
Choose your home page
- My filings – the list of filings you own
- All filings – the complete list of your firm’s filings
- Dashboard
Select your Lapse threshold
- How many months of filings will be included in the Lapse filings list and Lapse dashboard graph
The default value is 6 months. This can be changed
